The Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA) is a farmer-driven, membership-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps people in the Carolinas grow and eat local, organic foods by advocating for fair farm and food policies, building the systems family farms need to thrive, and educating communities about local, organic agriculture.

Our key program areas are:
Education
Advocacy
Food Systems
Farm Services
Founded in 1979, we are the oldest and largest sustainable agriculture organization in the Southeast. For over three decades, we have successfully united farmers, consumers and businesses to build a just, healthy food and farming future.

  1. In a way, it’s kind of like bribing garden invaders
(whether they’re deer, rabbits or insects) with something yummy
instead of what you’re trying to grow for yourself.

In addition to the zoning regulations and land use requirements some jurisdictions may also have Boards or Committees to
enforce local aesthetic or historical guidelines that were put in place to convey or preserve special character and value to a whole City or specific neighborhood.
Offering a variety of specialty produce alongside strong selling products establishes
a foundation of success with any business and this includes a fruit-stand or Farmer’s Market enterprise.
